Expository Writing Assignment, Due Tuesday, Feb. 10

Rewrite your three descriptive paragraphs.

Start each paragraph with a topic sentence that tells the reader what you are writing about and how you feel about it, emotionally. (Example, “In my view, cheeseburgers with bacon represent the murder of two wonderful animals.”

The next six sentences should support the emotional viewpoint offered in the topic sentence, using details from your five senses.

The sentences should proceed in a logical order (no random jumping around) with each sentence adding more description and giving the reader a vivid picture.

Use at least two similes or metaphors.

From your list of synonyms, pick the best possible nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs and use them.

Perfect the grammar.
